University of Louisville receives $47 million to institute center focused on health equity
This donation made by Christina Lee Brown, a philanthropist and global leader, will assist in building the Christine Lee Brown Envirome Institute – New Vision of Health Campus. The building will focus on health beyond biology and deeper into understanding the community within a person – such as the natural, environmental and cultural impacts – to better navigate a person’s health. The building, expected to be completed in three years, will include various offices and specifically designed labs for researchers to work as one with the community and further the health of Louisville and cities beyond.
