Lifestyles Magazine/Meaningful Influence cover subject Masayoshi Son will lead a massive $500 billion private sector project with OpenAI’s Sam Altman and Oracle’s Larry Ellison- announced by President Trump

On his first full day at the White House, President Trump announced the establishment of a new $500 billion public-private partnership to drive the next generation of AI advancements.
“I believe that the Stargate project will be something truly unique. It might result in the most significant thing of all.”
President Trump outlined his strategy while flanked by Oracle Corp. Chairman Larry Ellison, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, and SoftBank Group CEO and Lifestyles Magazine/Meaningful Influence cover profilee Masayoshi Son.
Over the next four years, Texas-based Stargate project plans to invest up to $500 billion on AI infrastructure.
President Trump declared that Stargate will generate more than 100,000 jobs.
Larry Ellison clarified during the press conference that ten data centers are currently under construction in Texas.
Blackstone predicted in October of last year that over five years, $1 trillion will be spent on data centers in the United States, with an extra $1 trillion going overseas.
“AI holds prominence for all of us, for every American,” Ellison stated.
“The kinds of applications that we’re building, to give you an idea, maybe the most charismatic and touches us all is electronic health records.”
According to Ellison, one of the main projects the group is now focusing on is creating instruments for early cancer detection by using AI to evaluate blood tests.
He stated that “cancer diagnosis using AI has the promise of just being a simple blood test,” and that AI might identify minute variations that lead to cancer for both early detection and possible cancer vaccines. Ellison added, “AI can analyze blood tests to detect tiny tumor fragments circulating in the blood, enabling early cancer diagnosis, and create personalized vaccines, sometimes within a couple of days to design individualized mRNA vaccines for each patient once a cancerous tumor is gene-sequenced.” This is the promise of AI and the future. “Imagine early cancer detection, the development of a cancer vaccine for your specific cancer targeted at you, and having that vaccine available for you in 48 hours.”
Having already promised to invest $100 billion in U.S. projects over the next four years, Son, a Japanese billionaire and chairman of Stargate, joked about Trump’s request for a $2 billion investment only months prior.
Seeing that wager, Son increased the stakes even more.
“America’s golden age is just getting started. We can’t wait to get started.” Altman of OpenAI stated, “I’m thrilled we get to do this in the United States of America,” after President Trump referred to him as “the leading expert” in AI.
“This, in my opinion, is the most crucial thing we can do in this day and age. Nvidia, Microsoft, and ARM—companies that have led the AI explosion in recent years—are additional partners.”
According to President Trump, one of the project’s main objectives is to construct data centers and the infrastructure needed to produce the substantial amounts of energy needed for AI advancements.
“What we wish to do is to preserve it within this nation. There are competitors, including China. We are making this country available because we want to be here. Since we have an emergency and need to get this material created, I will be of great assistance with emergency declarations. They must therefore generate a lot of electricity. And if they so choose, we’ll enable them to quickly complete this production at their own plants.”
