$700 million in grants to date for hospitals, universities, and programs that enhance healthcare access and scientific research in Israel from the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust announced by Sandy Frankel

With the most recent grant awarded by the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust to the Holon Institute of Technology (HIT) in Israel for the construction of a cutting-edge Medical Technologies Building, the Trust’s total funding directed to Israeli projects has now surpassed an extraordinary $700 million.

This six-story, state-of-the-art facility will feature advanced research laboratories, modern classrooms, high-tech design studios, and an innovation center. It is set to become a hub for groundbreaking research and training, equipping the next generation of healthcare professionals with expertise in digital health and medical technologies.

The total project cost of $19.6 million is made possible through a collaboration that includes additional support from Israel’s Council for Higher Education. Upon completion in 2027, the Medical Technologies Building will stand as a premier institution for medical innovation, fostering cutting-edge solutions that will improve patient care and healthcare delivery worldwide.
