$436 million donation to Habitat for Humanity from MacKenzie Scott

In a time where housing is becoming more and more unaffordable, Habitat for Humanity International helps by dedicating their efforts to building affordable homes and increasing home ownership amongst Black and minor communities. With Scott’s gift, the organization will use $25 million to help achieve their goal of building 3 million new homes by 2030, increasing the rate of Black homeowners across the States. Scott’s $436 million donation increases her total giving to the organization to $9 billion and demonstrates her care toward those under the harmful effects of systemic racism and injustice within the housing sector.
