$20 million latest gift to business school helps earn ambassadorship for philanthropist Mindy Hildebrand

Mindy Hildebrand, a Houston-based philanthropist and business leader, has made significant contributions to education, healthcare, and community development.
Her most notable donations include $20 million to UT McCombs School of Business.
This gift established the Hildebrand MBA Program at the University of Texas at Austin, providing scholarships and leadership training for MBA students.$10 million to Houston Parks Board, a contribution to support community green spaces, including Memorial Park projects in Houston.
$1.5 million to M.D. Anderson’s ASPIRE Program funding cancer prevention and smoking cessation efforts through M.D. Anderson’s ASPIREProgram.
$25 million to UT Petroleum Engineering Program.
In recognition of this donation, the UT Petroleum Engineering Program was renamed in honor of the Hildebrands.
President Donald Trump recently appointed Mindy Hildebrand as the U.S. Ambassador to Costa Rica.
She is the vice chair of the Hildebrand Foundation, the owner of River Oaks Donuts, and the vice president of Hilcorp Ventures Inc., her husband Jeffrey Hildebrand’s oil and gas company.
“She will fight tirelessly to protect America’s interests abroad, especially in trade and immigration,” Trump assured. Melinda Hildebrand holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. She is married to Jeffery D. Hildebrand, and they have three children.
She also serves on the boards of Saint Thomas University and the University of Texas at Austin and is involved in cultural institutions such as the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
Additionally, Hildebrand works with the Houston Parks Board as a trustee, serves as President of the Memorial Park Conservancy Endowment in Houston, and is a member of the Executive and Endowment Committees at Episcopal High School in Bellaire, Texas.
She was also elected to the board of the Upper Snowmass Creek Caucus in Snowmass, Colorado; is part of the Advisory Board for Life House Houston; serves as a trustee for the Center for Addiction in New York City; and is a board member of Preservation Square in Austin, Texas.
