$20 million donation powers food justice entrepreneur Kimbal Musk’s Green Vision—with influencer Jeffrey Huang behind it

In a major fusion of philanthropy and Web3, Big Green—the nonprofit founded by Kimbal Musk—has received a $20 million donation from RACA DAO, a decentralized blockchain community originally driven by influencer Jeffrey Huang, also known as Machi Big Brother.
The donation, raised in under 13 hours through ETH, USDC, DAI, and 1.6 billion RACA tokens, marks one of the largest Web3-driven philanthropic campaigns to date.
The funds will supercharge Big Green’s mission to build sustainable gardens and food education programs in underserved communities across the U.S.
Kimbal Musk, best known as a food justice entrepreneur and younger brother to Elon Musk, founded Big Green in 2012 to address food insecurity and climate resilience through hands-on gardening.
With over 700 “Learning Gardens” already built and programs like the Million Gardens Movement scaling nationwide, this latest funding push significantly amplifies Big Green’s impact.
“This is a testament to what happens when community, purpose, and technology align,” Kimbal said on X.
Though RACA DAO is publicly decentralized, it gained early momentum under the guidance of Machi Big Brother—an outspoken figure in the NFT and DeFi space whose influence helped propel the DAO to global visibility.
The donation also reflects the broader Musk family ethos: combining disruptive innovation with mission-driven change.
With this capital infusion, Big Green plans to expand its reach in food deserts, scale regenerative agriculture efforts, and bring Web3-enabled transparency to grassroots impact—planting seeds not just in soil but in the future of decentralized giving.
