$15 million donation from Avram “Avie” and Jill Glazer helps revive landmark performing arts hall

A transformative donation of more than $15 million from Palm Beach residents Avram “Avie” and Jill Glazer is bringing new life to a historic landmark.
Their generosity is powering the reconstruction and reopening of the former Royal Poinciana Playhouse—now named Glazer Hall for the Performing Arts—expected to debut by the end of the year.
“This is the first theater and nonprofit cultural arts center in Palm Beach in 60 years,” said Jill Glazer, co-founder and president of Glazer Hall.
The Glazers founded the nonprofit Palm Beach Cultural Innovation Center, now doing business as Glazer Hall, to oversee the venue’s programming.
Their commitment goes beyond funding—it’s a hands-on vision to build a sustainable, dynamic arts hub.
“We are going to offer private spaces overlooking the intracoastal with event rentals, such as wedding receptions,” Jill added. “We need revenue.”
Since launching their campaign, the donor list has grown to include names like Tommy Hilfiger, Aerin Lauder Zinterhofer, Gail Coniglio, Paulette Koch, and Stephen Levin, among others. Seat naming rights at $10,000 each have already filled 75% of the 400-seat capacity.
“Through our fundraising efforts, we aim to build Glazer Hall into a beacon of inspiration,” said Chief Philanthropic Officer Victoria Peyton.
“With generous support from the greater community, Glazer Hall will become a one-of-a-kind cultural arts center.”
Supporters have taken notice. Rena Blades, a Glazer Hall board member, wrote, “The Glazers have gone far beyond what most of us will ever do to give back and support a community. Their vision, commitment, passion and, frankly, love for this town is unique.”
As Palm Beach prepares to welcome this reimagined venue, one thing is clear: Glazer Hall stands as a testament to what visionary philanthropy can build.
