David Z. Solomon, Co-Head, Capital Introduction Group, is Managing Director at Goldman, Sachs & Co. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, David Solomon was a corporate attorney at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP, representing private investment partnerships, investment advisors and commodity pools.
He received his Masters in International Affairs from the Columbia University School of International Affairs, his law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and his undergraduate degree Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude, from Queens College of the City University of New York. David is Vice Chair of the Executive Committee of the Investment Management Division of UJA Federation and a member of the board and chairman of the investment committee of the Jewish Funders Network David resides with his wife, Miriam and their son, Michael and daughter, Ella, in Kew Garden Hills, N.Y.
David has been a guest speaker at many Goldman Sachs sponsored forums, industry conferences and he has been a guest lecturer at the Yale University School of Management, the Steinhardt Jewish Heritage Program at the University of Pennsylvania and the MS program in Financial Engineering at the Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
David has authored an article titled, “Top 20 University Endowment Allocations to Hedge Funds and What All Hedge Fund Investors Can Learn from Them” and co-authored an article titled “Soft Dollar Issues and Recommended Best Practices.”
