Wyatt Rockefeller

  • Filmmaker

Wyatt is a filmmaker and early-stage investor with a background in political organizing, energy policy and development. He is a trustee of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, a private foundation helping to advance social change through grantmaking in the areas of peacebuilding, sustainable development and democratic practice, as well as in pivotal areas around the world; and serves on the board of governors of the National World War II Museum, which tells the story of the American experience in the war—why it was fought, how it was won, and what it means today.

Previously, he has served on the board of River Network, an online hub for organizations working to strengthen local, regional and national river and watershed conservation efforts; and the advisory board of The Resolution Project, which develops and empowers young leaders to pursue socially responsible solutions to issues affecting their communities.

Prior to returning to film, Wyatt worked with EGG-energy, an energy distribution start-up in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, that extended the grid to more people by packaging and delivering energy in a more affordable way. He also served President Obama in his 2008 campaign and in his administration as the Confidential Assistant to the Deputy Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
