$15 million Angrick gift fuels university’s MBA scholarships for military veterans and their families

A $15 million gift from Bill and Stephanie Angrick will establish the Angrick Military Scholars Program at the University of Notre Dame, announced on Veterans Day 2025.

The initiative will provide transformative financial support for military-affiliated students pursuing full-time MBA degrees at the Mendoza College of Business beginning in August 2026.

Up to 10 Angrick Military Scholars will be selected per cohort, with preference given to U.S. and Coast Guard veterans, particularly those with families.

Each scholar will receive $30,000 per year in funding that may be used for tuition, housing, relocation, or childcare, in addition to any merit-based or other financial awards.

University President Rev. Robert A. Dowd, C.S.C., described the gift as a powerful affirmation of Notre Dame’s mission to serve those who have served. “By expanding access to a Notre Dame education for military-affiliated students, we honor the extraordinary sacrifice of these students and their families and prepare them to be exceptional leaders in their chosen fields,” Dowd said.

“Our campus community is immeasurably enriched by their presence and by their example of dedication to our nation and to the common good.”

Dean Martijn Cremers of the Mendoza College of Business called the donation transformational, noting that it enables Notre Dame to offer “the most comprehensive financial support available to families of qualified military students.” Kenneth Heckel, director of Military and Veterans Affairs, said the Angrick family’s generosity “will ensure that Notre Dame remains the premier institution for military leaders who embody high moral character, outstanding leadership, and love of country for years to come.”

One or more scholars will be recognized as Naticchia Fellows each year, an honor named in memory of Stephanie Angrick’s late father, Marine Corps veteran Robert D. Naticchia.

The Angricks have a long history of philanthropy at Notre Dame, including funding the Stayer Center’s executive lounge and supporting internships in the ESTEEM graduate program. Bill Angrick, a 1990 Notre Dame graduate and member of the Mendoza Business Advisory Council, is the co-founder, chair, and CEO of Liquidity Services Inc.

He and Stephanie, a Princeton and University of Maryland alumna, live in Flagler Beach, Florida, and are parents to two sons, including Will Angrick, a 2025 graduate of the Mendoza College of Business and member of the Fighting Irish lacrosse team.

“We are humbled and delighted to help launch this new program and to see its impact grow over time,” Bill Angrick said.

“We look forward to helping Notre Dame attract outstanding military veteran leaders with high potential so that the University’s MBA program can prepare these leaders to make an even greater positive impact on society.”
