The Stephens Family Foundation is donating $25 million to Episcopal Collegiate in Little Rock in honor of the school’s 25th anniversary, several media outlets report.
Stephens family members reportedly attended a Founder’s Day celebration at a chapel service and said the donation will help support Arkansas’s only accredited Episcopal school with its academic excellence and enhance its long-term sustainability.
The family also reportedly noted the money would help keep tuition at a level that gives access to as many students as possible, stating a funding gap of about $6,600 per student between tuition revenue and operating expenses.
According to the school’s website, tuition currently ranges from $8,600 starting in Pre-K and increases up to $17,900 for grades 6-12.
