The gift, which is the largest in the college’s history, was donated by Michael Gerdin.
The Regents Center will be renamed as the Gerdin Fieldhouse for athletics and wellness.
The President says that Luther College is also in early stages of fundraising for major renovation of Regents.
Plans are in place to reconfigure the gym, renovate locker rooms, add gathering and study spaces, and adding air conditioning.
