Lawrence Bloom is currently Secretary General of the Be Earth Foundation, a UN Inter Governmental Organisation which advises, assists and enables in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals on behalf those Countries with which it has Treaties.
Lawrence was recently appointed as Global Ambassador to Zero G Colony the initiative that is hosting the first concerts from Space in partnership with Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic. The inaugural event will be headlined by superstar Lady Gaga. The concert will celebrate all the technical and social breakthroughs that are creating a better world. It is expected that over two billion people will be partying and committing to create a safer future for humanity.
He also Chairs the Dakia Institute, exploring how major infrastructure opportunities can be combined with creative financial and technical solutions enabling countries, corporations, communities and funding Institutions to achieve their sustainable development goals and targets. The best structure for achieving success is Public Private and Social Partnerships tied to strong leadership. He believes that this collaboration is the key to our collective future.
He was recently voted by SALT magazine as among the top 25 most Conscious Global Leaders, and some months ago received an award at the UN from the Humanitarian Innovation Forum for Conscious Leadership.
Lawrence was appointed the first Chairman of the World Economic Forum, Global Agenda Council on Urban Management and he is a current alumnas of all Agenda Councils. He is former Chairman of the UN Environmental Programme, Green Economy Initiative, Green Cities, Buildings and Transport Council. Lawrence also served as an active member of the Corporate Responsibility Advisory Group of the ICEAW.
